Only cars with manual transmissions and Reaf disc brakes Are affected. Company spokesman Dave Sloan said pm is aware of 106 incidents in which the vehicle rolled away while the parking Brake was allegedly on. Sloan said pm is aware of six injuries and one fatality possibly linked to the defective parking brakes. Pm previously notified affected owners in april that their cars would be recalled As soon As repair parts were available. In the interim pm asked customers to take certain safety precautions when parking their cars on an incline. The parking Brake systems of these vehicles can lose effectiveness gradually because of a faulty adjuster in the rear disc Brake Assembly. As a result the parking Brake May not be Able to hold the vehicle on an incline if it is parked with the manual transmission in Neutral or a gear other than reverse. Pm is also recalling about 112,000 Chevrolet Blazer Gumc Jimmy and Oldsmobile bravado four door sport Utility vehicles from the 1991-Model year to repair a fuel system Seal. \ Sloan said those vehicles do not comply with government standards that require fuel tanks not to leak in a Roll Over Accident.
