Beating Case los Angeles a the judge assigned to the trial of four White police officers charged in the videotaped beating of an unarmed Black Motorist was removed from the Case wednesday by an appeals court. The 2nd District court of Appeal granted a defense petition that claimed Superior court judge Bernard Kamins was biased. Kamins had insisted he was impartial. The judges court had closed for the Day by the time the appeals court issued its ruling and he could not be reached for comment. A prosecutor in the Case said Kamins could ask the California supreme court to review the matter. The officers face assault charges in the March 3 beating of Rodney King.
