As a medical command sergeant major of a Forward support battalion 1 served with my battalion in Southwest Asia during operation desert storm. I observed my soldiers As they treated wounded soldiers. I realized that the medical soldiers of the battalion would most Likely not be eligible for award of the cab unless they were part of the brigade s infantry battalion during the a ground  this eligibility is dependent on whether the medics treated wounded soldiers during Battle. I believed this outdated requirement would Likely he overturned thus allowing other medical soldiers to be awarded the badge. Unfortunately to Date the requirement remains unchanged.
