Snow and ice prevailed in the great lakes Region. Up to 2 inches of rain expected thursday in Southeastern Texas could Worsen the flooding in previously hard hit areas. The National weather service issued a Flash flood watch for an area that includes the flooded areas along the Trinity and Brazos Rivers. The Trinity has flooded at least 100 Homes in the Liberty area East of Houston with the Brazos inundating 200 Homes Southwest of the City. Rain was also scattered Over Florida Eastern Georgia Arkansas and Tennessee As Well As Oklahoma Kansas the Central Mississippi Valley and Southern Illinois. Snow was scattered Over Eastern Nebraska the upper Mississippi Valley and the great lakes Region. Clear skies prevailed in the Northeast. High winds blew along the coast of Northeast Florida and Southern Georgia. Waves were higher than 8 feet and tides higher than usual wednesday. A flood watch was posted for an area extend ing from St. Simons Island ga., to Cape canaveral Fla. High winds also prevailed along the Northern coast of Washington state. A wind advisory was also posted through today for California s Tehachapi mountains. Rain was expected thursday Over Southern California. A major rainstorm with heavy rain and Runoff was expected to reach Arizona by today. Marquette mich., warmed to 36 degrees one degree higher than the High temperature record for the Date set in 1972.
