Norwich capital of the county of Norfolk is in the East Anglia Region of England. It grew out of several Small Saxon settlements at a Ford along the River we Risum. By the time the normans conquered England in 1066, Norwich was one of its largest towns. One of the most famous is the Kett rebellion in 1549, during which Robert Kett and his brother led a mob protesting the enclosure of land in Wymondham. When the complaints were rejected the angry protesters rioted damaging parts of the City before being subdued by the King s forces and having their leaders hanged. Norwich received More damage when it was heavily bombed during world War ii. Fortunately most of the important historical buildings escaped major damage.
