A i reported at the appropriate time and there was Llewellyn and a lieutenant and a Bunch of Guys from administration and the motor Pool and so on but in a the Only Guy from the writing staff. A now at the time if you were in the infantry you did t Shine your buttons because the Shine could give you away in combat. So in a standing there with a shined buttons just like id been taught and of course i get gigged. After the inspection the lieutenant rounds up All of us with uniform violations i think there were eight or 10 of us and says Lewellyn has ordered us on a 10-mile hike five Miles out of the City then  the hike much prolonged by pub stops along the Way lasted until evening and the stripes editors were less than pleased with the tired a and Tipsy a Schapiro who finally showed up for work. A they asked me where the hell id been and i told them All about the inspection and How id been gigged. A inspection a they said. A we done to do those. They want us to but we just done to.
