An Eye disease robbed me of my sight. As an Active Young College student i struggled to adjust to my new world of darkness. I had never considered becoming an Eye donor and now my sight depended on someone who had. A Central Florida family suffering with the pain of losing a family member reached out and touched my life. By contributing the Corneas of a loved one this by contributing the Corneas of a loved one this special family enabled me to undergo corneal transplant surgery which miraculously filled my world with Light and color. Today i work for the medical Eye Bank of Florida in Orlando. I help bring others like myself the gift of sight. Currently 5,000 people across the country Are waiting for corneal transplants while another 25,000 wait for other vital Organ transplants. Because of the growing number of persons waiting Tor organs Corneas and tissue i Hope you will remind your readers once again sign an Organ donor card and discuss your decision with your family members so they can carry out your wishes. Please bring this to the Public a attention. Small children Are growing up without any idea of the importance of washing their hands.
