Meanwhile it was raining in parts of the East. As the cold front Cut across the great lakes later in the Day it was expected to trigger blizzards in Michigan. Below Zero daytime highs were forecast for Northern Minnesota and North Dakota As Snow continued to fall in those states and throughout the Northern Rockies. Anchor Aga Snow was also forecast for Western Pennsylvania and upstate new York. Brisk winds were expected to drive the wind chills to 50 degrees below Zero in some areas including near Bethel Ark. The coldest temperatures of the season were also forecast throughout the Central Plains on wednesday including below Zero readings from Northern Illinois to Northern Kansas. The cold snap was expected to extend to Northern Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle by tonight. Wintry winds also chilled parts of the West bringing record below Zero cold to Utah and warnings of Strong winds to Wyoming a mountains. Utah records included 9 below Zero at Monticello and 12 below at Richfield. By contrast the Southern third of the nation was expected to remain mild As was most of the West coast.
