The dead included three policemen and the wife and baby of an extremist police said. At least 17 people were wounded in the confrontations tuesday night and wednesday. That clash according to an Interior ministry spokesman prompted Security searches for extremists in other parts of the country wednesday. The ministry official spoke on condition of anonymity extremists in the past few months have been attacking foreign tourists.
