The weather was Stormy and Cokl in the Southwest but temperatures soared to record Levels in parts of the East. A cold front was expected to move into the East later in the Day. Bringing with it rain showers and substantially cooler temperatures. Elsewhere Snow advisories were posted in Western new Mexico and parts of Nebraska and rain was expected elsewhere along the front. Showers were moving into the Northwest with Snow at higher elevations in Washington s Slym Pic mountains and the Cascade Range in Washington and Oregon. That front was expected to push dry winds and Milder weather into the Plains. Summertime conditions were expected to remain in Florida where the Mercury soared to 89 degrees sunday at Sarasota. Thunderstorms sunday triggered heavy Rains and flooding in parts of the lower Middle West South and the Gulf coast. Missouri was particularly hard hit but damage also was reported in Louisiana Kentucky and Indiana. At least five deaths were reported.
