Every few years this historic fort opens its tunnels for the walk. This installation was the first fortification in Belgium to have been attacked by the German wehrmacht in 1 940. Volks marchers will be allowed Entrance to the fort and passage through the Tunnel. The Tunnel runs 100-1 50 feet beneath the fort and is slightly less than one mile in length As it crosses to the other Side. The vol Smarch event offers a variety of trails to the wanderer 10, 20 and 42 Kilometres. Passage inside the fort is possible by paying a Small fee of 1 Mark or 20 belgian francs about 60 cents.
