At tin afternoon monday Mellberg walked into the Hospital carrying a chinese made Mak-90 semiautomatic assault Rifle. His first target was Brigham. When the shooting spree stopped about five minutes later Brigham and three others were dead including capt. Alan London a psychologist who also had evaluated Mellberg. Twenty one others were wounded. Some remained in critical condition tuesday night at Spokane hospitals. Among those killed according to the new York times were Christine Mcca Ren an 8-year-old girl accompanied by her baby Sitter and Anita Linder the wife of a retired Serviceman who was be lived to be in her 40s or 50s. The wounded included a 5-year-old girl and a 4-Ycar-old boy the times reported. Mellberg was shot to death by a Security policeman near the Hospital. Instead of being discharged however Mellberg was reassigned in Early March of this year to Cannon fab. Nearly three months later he was finally discharged against his will.
