Another trooper John Mcauliffe 29, of Woodinville was fired thursday also on cheating charges. Officials said the Case was not related to the abortion clinic incident. Jackstadt and Mcauliffe have unlisted phone numbers and could t be reached for comment tuesday. A trial Date is pending for Jackstadt who is charged with unlawful imprison ment and official misconduct after hold ing Deanna Thomas 18, and Justin Cooper 20. He faces As much As six years in prison and $15,000 in fines if convicted. The couple said Jackstadt spent 45 minutes trying to persuade them not to keep an abortion clinic appointment after stopping them for speeding july 27. Prosecutors said he changed the Speed on Cooper s ticket from 75 to 65 Mph after the couple agreed to follow him to a charges Church run counselling session. Thomas eventually had the abortion. Erickson said Jackstadt admitted Mak ing a tape recording of a departmental examination conducted in february 1993 for officers wanting to be promoted to sergeant.
