The Al West did no to do much to enhance the regions reputation a year ago when none of the four division members had a winning record when the strike hit. Now the no West is the subject of ridicule. Los Angeles went into last. Weekend leading the division but would have been 11 games behind Atlanta in the no East and nine Back of Cincinnati in the no Central. For All their faults though the two West divisions seem to be a victim of balance More than inability. Only two of the six major league divisions have composite winning records the Al West and no West.
