The report was concerned mostly wit the years Between 1962 and 1975, but it said similar practices Date almost to the forma Tion of the state police in 1917. Several apparent violations of Law were found but the report uncovered no pattern of illegal acts or evidence of wire tapping or illegal entry. Some investigators noted however that the Assembly confined its study to an examination of selected samples from Testate police files and had issued no subpoenas held no hearings and interviewed non of the targets of the surveillance.
