But what about the possibility of these 13 and 14 year old kids getting seriously injured because they re thrown in with much bigger much More mature juniors and seniors i would reckon that the chances of their being Hurt in such Competition would be even greater than those of the girls. Italy wrapped up regular season basketball last weekend with Vicenza winning its third straight boys title to go along with its third straight conference title and Naples taking its second consecutive girls Crown. All conference selections were made before the tournament began and the coaches realized that basketball is a five person game and did t select everybody and his her Uncle. Champion Vicenza 51-4 Over the three championship seasons led the balloting with two players Claudell Bagby and Andre Davis. Aviano s Ashley Wright Naples Sam Washburn and notre Dame s Brian Mccammon rounded out the cast. Aviano and Naples had four of the five girls berths. Administrators apparently scared off some european invitational tournament wrestlers last week especially those from Germany. But tournament director Karena Burchfield called the meet hosted by the Naples boosters club and parents of Naples wrestlers at the naval support activities Center successful. We were hoping for Between 80 and 90 wrestlers and More than 60 made it to Naples Burchfield said saturday night. We were Able to determine champions in every bracket except the 112-Pound class. The Lack of Germany competitors really surprises me because that Region always has had a Strong representation in such events. The parents in the Germany schools always have been Active in seeing that their offspring take advantage of every Opportunity to improve their scholarship chances. The tournament did not have Dodds approval. Skinner had claimed these Nioras giant slalom Crown tuesday. Skinner led a Usa eur sweep of the slalom events on the Way to a team title for the soldiers in the conclusion of the Alpine events.
