His Mentor King Abdullah was assassinated in Jerusalem in 1951, and in 1956 King Hussein dismissed Clubb claiming that he had been too slow in advancing Arab officers in  legion. But Clubb remained a highly regarded figure in Jordan and after his death  jordanian embassy in London issued a statement praising his Long service to  Jordani an armed forces and saying his personal ties to  Jorda Nian monarchy never ceased.
