Lillye Gordon of v corps took the women s High jump. Their victories were part of a limited slate of opening Day events on a Damp track at the Wald station. Brooks Deel and Melvin Mccullough of 21st support command broke out of the pack of 16 runners that made up the combined men s open and men s masters 10,000-meters. All three took their turns in the Lead before Brooks finished Strong to beat Deel the half Marathon Champi on at the Fulda marathons. Brooks won in 31 48.16.
