The Mcaa s committee on infractions found that the sanctions viewed in conjunction with non compliance in the past 15 years warranted the elimination of three conference Home games and a limit of eight total games in 1989. How Ever the committee said it would not apply that penalty because of the cooperation by Oklahoma state s current administration and coaching staff. The committee citing More than 40 rules violations also limited to 20 the number of scholarships Oklahoma state can offer in the 1989-90, 1990-91 and 1991-92 academic years.
