A when i jumped i realized i probably made a mistake a admitted Harlow who is from Tulsa okla., and assigned to cob 3rd in 325th inf regt. The German Bruno Buchel was still alive when Harlow reached him but the battering of Waves was too Strong for the Soldier and he lost his grip on the Man several times. Although Harlow was holding onto two life buoys the undertow pulled him Down against rocks until he was thrown into a dark underwater Cave. The Waves receded every 10 seconds and Harlow was Able to breathe until a new wave filled his 2-foot-wide chamber with water. He concentrated on the Roar of incoming Waves to stay alive. Meanwhile Back on Shore Hanson and about 80 people who witnessed the attempt feared the worst. A a there a a couple of people at my House who appreciate what he did a said the 33-year-old Morales who is married and has two children. A and my insurance company is saying thank you begins today a Well. Maybe from Page 1 1966 and 1978, when it caused wet dreary Summers. A 12-year weather Cycle Means that a particular weather system occurs about every 12 years. In the other Comer is the seven year so far this year the weather is similar to the dreary Way summer began last year. A Harald Strauss Cycle donned in warm Days and Blue skies and tipping the Scales with a High pressure system that usually accompanies pleasant weather. It was on a hot Streak with victories in 1976 and 1983. Although the cycles were a few years apart in 1969, Strauss said current weather conditions resemble 1969. That summer referring to the meteorological summer which lasts from june 1 until aug. 31,began with Cool and wet weather before turning hot and dry in the Middle and ending with More Cool and Damp conditions. Strauss said he did not know what the weather conditions were when the two cycles coincided in 1906. The extremely wet Summers of 1954, 1966 and 1978 and the extremely dry Summers of 1976 and 1983 seem to give Validity to the weather Cycle theory. These cycles Are caused by Waves in the atmosphere. Strauss said this years weather is similar to the dreary Way that summer began last year. The difference is that a High pressure system developed farther South last year and the weather improved. This year the Cloudy conditions continue to persist because the High pressure system is too far North and the Jet Stream has become stronger and moved farther South than it was last month or last summer. The warm Clear weather in May was the result of a Jet Stream positioned North of Scandinavia and West of the soviet Union said master sgt. Carl Loerbs non commissioned officer in charge of the climatology Branch. A Jet Stream is one of several bands of High velocity winds moving from West to East around the Earth at altitudes of eight to 10 Miles. The path of the Jet Stream normally is accompanied by bad weather such As the windstorms that ravaged Europe last Winter when the Jet Stream shifted farther South. But until a few weeks ago the Jet Stream had stayed to the North and that allowed North and North Central Europe to enjoy a High pressure system that included warm air drawn in from the azores Loerbs said. But the Jet Stream shifted Over the Mediterranean sea about two weeks ago and brought with it a Low pressure system that is slowly shifting to the East. This typically Peculiar weather probably would not have made much of an impression on one of Germany a most famous poets and dramatists Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. He summed up the German weather situation by saying a German summer is Only a Green tinted Here comes summer begins today and the forecast for Europe looks like this 13 England it should be a typical British summer which Means that you forget your umbrella when you go outside. After a Rainy july August could be sunny and hot with a Chance of severe thunderstorms. Done to expect Long periods of either Type of weather however.13 West Germany the forecast Calls for Cloudy weather interrupted by periods of Sunshine for the remainder of the month. Cloudy weather could continue until the Middle of july before longer periods of Sunshine Italy another hot and dry summer should be on tap in Italy with a Chance of thunderstorms in Early summer. Temperatures in Naples during july should be in the mid-80s during the Day and the mid-60s at night with daytime temperatures increasing about 5 degrees in august., a amps Susan i Larris
