The hungry can buy grilled bratwurst from a Street Vendor or Duck into the Zum Riesen very possibly the oldest lodging and dining establishment in Germany. Lookers Are also Welcome. Single rooms with Bath run from 68 to 98 Marks about $45-$65. Doubles Cost from 108 to 168 Marks about $72-$112 a night. The careful observer May notice lines and the Date 1682 etched into the fronts of some buildings in downtown Miltenberg. The Marks denote the level of the most terrible flood of that Century. If you need a change of Pace there s always the main River a Short walk away. You can sit and watch the barges churn up and Down feed the ducks and swans or engage in the favorite German pastime of people watching.
