He is credited with saving the lives of 7-year-old Nadja Milosz and her 2-year-old sister Michelle when the fire broke out in the boiler room of their House just after Midnight april 25. / the 23-year-old Chicago native said he was asleep in the basement apartment of the House when the fire started. A i tried to break the window but i  a Kimble said about the baby a room. A so i Low crawled Back in and i just sort of Felt my Way  the 3rd inf div Soldier said he searched two Beds before finding the child. No sooner was Kimble out of the House with the baby than the German fire department arrived. The Soldier was taken to a German Hospital in Schweinfurt for treatment of smoke inhalation and released about eight hours later. A a in a very Happy that he saved my children a Milosz said. The smoke was so thick that she could not go Back into the House she said. Gisela first Learned of the fire and Kimbles actions when he returned from a camping trip the following morning. He found Kimble in the House cleaning up and a the first thing i did was give him a  the fire Gisela said was caused by an electrical defect in the houses water Heater. Damage to the Furnace and water Heater alone is 20,000 Marks or about $12,345, he said. Kimble said he was surprised that he did no to panic a until it was Over. I feel Good about it.
