So the basketball season is Over for us. I was hoping we could finish the season and play in the tournament but things did t work out that the three Blackhawk who comprise the osterholz wrestling team will continue their Competition this week in the division Iii championships at Giessen and will Advance to the Central european championships should they qualify. Will Wicks finished Sec ond at 122 pounds Albert Lemaire was fourth at 129 and Sam Nerette took third at 160 in last week s division ill North championship. The Dodds All stars will be competing in the International basketball tournament in chateau Roux France april 30-May 2 instead of the Cholet tournament Leblanc penned. As of this Date Jan. 22i have received no information from Cholet Leblanc continued. In the past the tournament invitation and information Al ways was sent out in late november. I sent a fax Jan. 5 inquiring about the 1993 tournament and Al though we have the receipt verifying the arrival of the fax we still Haven t received any further information. As a result i contacted the president of the Cha Tea Roux entente club and he is elated about our participation in the tournament. I suspect that the Cholet officials now View Riverside As their Ameri can drawing card and perhaps they Don t need two Usa teams. That is speculation on my part Riverside is the outstanding new York City team which won the last two tournaments. Leblanc pointed out that the top Dodds Basket Ball players will have the Opportunity to try out for both the Albert Schweitzer and chateau Roux tournaments because there is no scheduling conflict this year.
