Not All the crowd below was in a frenzy. By Anita coach staff writer it s get two things straight. The California dream men Are not All from California. And yes Virginia some of them really do take it All off. Dennis Paris is from Czechoslovakia and he s one of the dream men who sashay on stage in the Buff during the troupe s German tour. The Washington d.c., native insists he s a dancer not a stripper whose contract states just How much hell take off. And that s Down to no less than what people Wear on the Beach he says. The men initially dressed in various sorts of costumes perform skits in which they dance and act out women s fantasies to the melodies of pop and Rock songs. All the while they take off their clothes. The Cost of watching the dream men act out fantasies is about $30-$40 in Germany. Promoters say the tour May include stops in England in the summer and in Italy and Spain in the fall. Occasionally the men venture into the audience to Pluck an All too willing female from the thousands of screaming women and bring her on stage for some hands on action. You Don t have to kiss and tip says Dennis referring to the stateside custom of sticking Dollar Bills into the dancers a strings. Jagger who casts himself As a spiritual drifter in the title song wanders musically from one Patch of signature rolling stones turf to another menacing Funk chopped chord Rocker harpsichord and strings Ballad Anth Emic country hymn. It s a Good Deal for Jagger who gets the Keith licks without having to work with Keith and enjoys the hip imprimatur of a Rick Rubin production Job. His inspiration seems to fluctuate and the results Are pretty mixed ranging from Mere posturing on a never ending remake with Tenny Kravitz of Bill Withers use me to an Ingrati tingly spirited commitment to Rock s values of humor and heart. Jagger s voice sounds tight and strained when it s pushed by driving Rock arrangements but when Given room it s Loose Lively and full. Jagger even Breaks the stylistic Mold a couple of times with a heavy dose of gospel on wandering spirit and with a Pogue Slike version of the traditional sea Chantey handsome Molly.
