But the Brussels girls pulled off the upset of the  5-12 brigands who finished fourth in the Divi Sion ill North tournament last weekend knocked of the division ill South tournament Champion Ansbach cougars 48-39, behind Catherine Yarbro s 19  took a 13-3 record into the game. Brussels will play Hahn in the semifinals. Hahn is hosting the event in this its final season the school is scheduled to close in May. The Bonn boys also took an opening Day Victory 65-62 Over Ansbach to make it a thursday to forget for the cougars. In the Oesterberg Augsburg boys game Augsburg almost blew a 20-Pomt Lead but the apaches held off the wolfhounds 63-60. Later thursday the Giessen and Bonn girls each romped with Giessen battering Berlin 59-29 and the crusaders thumping Karlsruhe 52-37.
