David Pryor d-ark., accused former housing and Urban development Secretary Jack Kemp of giving Polit ical cronies $94,000 in Post election bonuses. Fryer s attack was made shortly after a Kemp led group called empower America which employs one of the Bonus recipients and the husband of another announced an Effort to defeat president Clinton s economic plan. Apparently Jack Kemp s idea of economic stimulus isto give salary bonuses to political cronies Pryor who is Linton s closest Friend in the Senate said in a speech on the floor. All employees who were Given top ratings for Job performance by review boards including political and civil serv ice employees received bonuses of up to 2 percent of their annual salaries Kemp said. The reviews were made before the nov. 3 election and such bonuses arc paid routinely i november and december he added.
