Stateside Snow Heads for West As easterners dig out More Snow targeted the West on wednesday Ashe Eastern half of the nation begin to recover from its own major onslaught. The storm moved to the North after coating much of the Region tuesday with ice and Snow. Rain showers developing along and behind cold front in the Northwest were scattered from Central California to Washington state Northern Idaho and Western Montana. Hardest hit were the appalachian regions of West Virginia and Eastern Ohio and i Pennsylvania where Waynesburg reported 28 inches of Snow by my afternoon. Other heavier snowfall included 24 inches at Charleroi pa., and 18 in Vermont Green mountains. To the South remnants of the storm whipped up 10-foot-High surf along Florida Gulf coast forc ing lifeguards to close some beaches. Overnight temperatures dropped below Zero income places and into the single digits and teens in others from northeastern Montana to Northern Minnesota. Forecasters predicted More of the same wednesday night for that Region near thereat lakes and in parts of new York and North Ern new England.
