A Sean Elliott said wednesday he was taking an indefinite leave of absence from basketball to Deal with a kidney problem that derailed a Trade from the Detroit pistons to the Houston rockets. Pistons officials had not been in formed that Elliott planned to take the leave and have yet to make a decision on his status spokesman Matt Dobek said. He has to work with us because he is under contract to the pistons Dobek said. We Are willing to listen to what his ideas Are but he has to work with our team doctor Elliott said he had received opinions from about 10 doctors including physicians from both teams. He said he would seek Independent doctors to resolve differences of opinion among the team physicians. Elliott 26, said it s a situation where my kidney functions Are off a Little.
