On a warm sunny Day thousands of potential customers stroll the streets of this Saarland City hoping to find the treasure of lifetime or at the least something to set on a shelf at Home to Admire. The Homburg Flea Market is held on the first saturday of each month. While it May not be on the level of a _ Metz or a stateside antique Flea Market it is Large it probably has something for everyone and the prices Are  and for most Flea Market people that criterion coupled with  possibility of finding an _ undiscovered Monet painting or other important collectible is  .7 the Best part  Hea Market lies in its diversity. On one table you la find Nickel and dime plastic trinkets and baubles while on the next you May see a world War ii picture of Adolf Hitler or a package _ unopened disposable diapers. You might spy a sweater for your toddler a late victorian Walnut serving Buffet a Fred Flintstone cup and Saucer or a quart of Oil for your car. Anyone who goes Home from Homburg with nothing in hand in t really trying. One Man stood in front of a 1950s combination radio record player Black and White television and phone _ seemingly trying to decide if he should part with about _ _ $200 to become its new owner. The sign said everything worked and it was certainly an oddity. In the end however he left without the treasure. " consider bringing a picnic lunch for the size of the Flea Market encompasses much of the downtown area and there Are plenty of Grassy areas to Park yourself for lunch. The marketeers seem to speak a reasonable amount of English and As Long As you have a piece of paper and a Pencil haggling Over prices is easy and expected. _ the Flea Market gets crowded and those arriving after to . Should be prepared to Park qu1te a distance away.,. .  getting there Homburg lies about 25 minutes West of the Kaiserslautern area. Take autobahn 6 West from _ Kaiserslautern to the Homburg exit.
