Bareback Bronco Riding is where a rider tries to stay on an untamed horse for a minimum of eight seconds. Saddle Bronco Riding is similar to the bareback version except a special Small Saddle with Short stirrups and no Saddle Horn is used. Though the Bronco events Are potentially hazardous Bull Riding is the most dangerous part of the Rodeo because of the animal s ferocity. There is no Saddle and the rider must hold onto a Bull rope that circles the Bull s belly. For All three events the rider must hold on with Only one hand. The other hand cannot touch anything or the rider is disqualified. The rider is also Dis qualified if he is thrown off before eight ten seconds Are up. Other events include a wild horse race in which four Broncos Are in the Arena. For each horse there Are three cowhand one holds the horse on a Long rope another puts on the rigging and the third jumps on the horse and races past the judges. He dismounts removes the rigging and delivers it to the judges. In calf roping the animal is Given a head Start and the contestant has 30 seconds to catch the it with a rope. There Are two participants in team roping. They have 60 seconds for one to rope the animal s Jiin legs and the other to catch its horns. In the cowgirl s barrel race riders ree in Fried Berg individually run the barrels by circling them in the Correct pattern and dashing across the finish line. Cowgirls and Cove boys Are paired in couples for the Rescue " race or pickup race. The cowgirls race across the Arena where their partners jump onto the horse and they race Back. At the German american Rodeo this month you la also be entertained by Canadian Champion trick Roper Jack Rogers. No Kin to Roy he Dazzles spectators twice every show with tricks on and off his horse.
