A i started playing when i was about four years old a Ogilvie said. A when you re a Little British kid growing up what you do is co outside and kick the Ball against somebody a garage a basketball and american style football had not really been fully introduced in this country 20 years ago. So we played football soccer a Ogilvie 30, is the leading Petty officer in the operations Branch at the naval air facility at Raf Mildenhall. He has been spending his time coaching a local British boys soccer team since he arrived Here in Early 1993. Ogilvie played soccer almost continuously As a child and even played for the Oxford boys College team. He moved to the United states at age 14 after his Mother married an american Serviceman. He lived in the United states and played soccer throughout his High school years and then returned to England after nigh school to give soccer another try. A i was pretty Good actually a said Ogilvie. A i even played Semi professional Ball. After nearly a year of that i went Back to the states to go to College. I also played in College. But College Only lasted a year. Then i joined the Navy. A i played All Navy football from 1984 to 1986 and we won the armed forces Competition in 85 and 86,�?� Ogilvie said. A shortly after i was selected to the alarmed forces team i sustained a knee injury and was unable to play football anymore. The Only Way to get around the game was to Ogilvie coached the ships team on the Hector the Orion and the George Washington and started his youth coaching in Norfolk a. He is now sharing his expertise with the local Community. A when i started coaching the team we did t have any uniforms or practice sweats and we were at the Bottom of the league a said Ogilvie. A last year we were second in the Ogilvie a unit Naf Mildenhall sponsored a plane Wash and raised More than $400 which they donated to the team. Ogilvie also solicited Money from local businesses and the Trajn now has uniforms and sweats. Ogilvie says he has been Able to do More with his British players than he was Able to with his teams in the states. A in America soccer is More recreational a said Ogilvie.
