European Stars and Stripes (Newspaper) - January 5, 1995, Darmstadt, Hesse 1 Vii Quot of i Osl of a jew prays at the Western Wall sometimes known As the wailing Wall. A Arab boy cares an israeli Soldier uses a window ledge for a Ratcli Tower at Damascus Cate in to stay food to eat armed israeli soldiers patrol an area near the Western Wall. Accommodations throughout the stay in Israel ranged from poor the Sheraton Plaza in Jerusalem to excellent the Dan in Tel Aviv. I found the management staff at the Sheraton to be rude and unsympathetic to guests concerns. There Are far better places in Jerusalem to stay. In contrast it is understandable Why the Dan in Tel Aviv is rated among the top 10 hotels in the world. The room was Beautiful and the service was remarkable. Breakfasts in Israel were extraordinary. Every morning i feasted on fresh fruits vegetables fish and other Buffet delights. Most restaurants were Kosher including chinese and mexican restaurants. The mexican restaurant however Nee dec a Good lesson in the making of a proper Margarita. _. Two touristy yet loads of fun places to eat were a bedouin tent feast and a roman feast in Jerusalem. The Cardo Culi naria restaurant fashioned after roman eateries during the second Temple period came Complete with togas and music. Vve ate like condemned men.
