The win propelled Augsburg with a 2-0 Mark into first place in the Silver South a half game ahead of the Wurzburg wolves 1-0-1who fought to a 12-12 deadlock against the Munich Mustangs. Flynn who completed three of 10 passes for 66 Yards placed the apaches on the scoreboard Early in the first Quarter on a four Yard keeper behind some key blocks by Bill Janes Ken Willingham and trip Rice. Flynn then passed to James Williams for the Pat to stake Augsburg to a 7-0 Lead. The eagles took the ensuing Kickoff f an drove from their 20-Yard line Down to Augsburg s five where the apaches held on Downs. Hollobaugh and Ahern stood out defensively for Ansbach along with Klaus Wallis and Bobby Longland who had two and one interceptions respectively. Pearson and Larry Mccall ground out 102 and 64 Yards respectively in losing efforts for bad Kreuz Nach. The tie was the second straight 6-6 game the red raiders have played this season. Stuttgart owns a tie and a loss in its two outings. Chris Himsl passed 30 Yards to Louis Robinson for Kaiserslautern s score and Stuttgart s came on a one Yard plunge by Ron Stewart. Stuttgart missed a Chance to win when an apparent safety on a muffed a town punt was negated by an offsides penalty. Shape spartans. He scored twice in the second period on runs of 18 and five Yards and wrapped up his to performances with an 88-yarder in the third Quarter. Tom Headen wound up the Bison scoring with a one Yard plunge that was sandwiched Between Wei Bricken s two fourth period ads. Starting late in the third period Wei Brincken drove 70 Yards in 18 plays for its first score the to coming on quarterback Ralph Buras keeper. After Headen capped a 39-Yard drive with his scoring plugs the trojans put on another sustained drive going 73 Yards in six plays with the help of a pass interference Call against the Bison. Buras passed to Todd Mccarthy for the final 22 Yards. Mannheim racked up 408 Yards from scrimmage Only three of them coming on the pass As Fowler led the Way with 169 Yards. Headen gained 74 and Oglesby chalked up 66.
