Kansas which retained its no. 2 ranking received the other first place vote and 544 Points. Total Points Are based on 15 Points for first place 14 for second Etc. Next week s up rating will be the final one this season. Filling out the top 10 were no. 3 North Carolina no. 4 Kentucky no. 5 St. Johns which climbed five places following its Victory Over Syracuse no. 6 Georgia tech which fell from its co no. 3 spot with North Carolina no. 7 Michigan which improved four places no. 8 Syracuse which dropped two Brad Ley which held at no. 9 and no. 10 Memphis state which slipped two notches after its loss to Louisville. Three acc teams Duke North Carolina and Georgia tech were in the top 10. Olichney said because of the blood in the Eye he was unable to determine the extent of the damage or How badly and How Long Wilson s vision would be impaired. Jets sack Long May shift Ferguson Winnipeg Manitoba up the Winnipeg jets tuesday fired Barry Long As coach but said he would remain with the losing club As an assistant to general Man Ager John Ferguson. Ferguson was expected to take Over coaching duties in time for wednesday s Home game against the new York rangers a team spokesman said. Following a talk with Long on tuesday Ferguson announced that the former coach would immediately assume duties As an assistant to the general manager and that Ferguson would replace Long behind the Bench.
