Deaver a former presidential aide receives a copy of president Reagan s detailed schedule every Day. Peter h. Roussel a White House spokesman said the schedule provided to Deaver contains no confidential information and is the same schedule distributed to the White House staff. Deaver is not the Only non government official with Access to the schedule Roussel said. Roussel made his comments after the Washington times in a Story in thursday s editions quoted unnamed White House sources As saying Deaver s Driver makes a daily run to pick up copies of Reagan s sched ule. The schedule is much More than a skeletal outline the sources told the times. It shows with whom Reagan meets the subject matter where he will be the time he spends in his residence and other matters the newspaper said. In another matter the Washington Post reported thursday that Deaver met with a top aide of Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney in february 1985 to discuss appointing envoys on acid rain at an upcoming Summit Between Mulroney and Reagan. Among the clients of Deaver s firm is the government of Canada which signed a $105,000 annual contract for the company s representation on issues including acid rain. Under Law former Federal officials cannot lobby on issues in which they were personally involved while in government.
