Cafes explains App Billing procedures in the close to three years i have been in Germany with my Navy wife i have read Many letters complaining informing and suggesting on the Many prob lems concerning cafes. Recently two factors compelled me to also write in Hopes of obtaining answers and helping both cafes and its customers. First my wife and i recently received a Billing statement from our local deferred payment plan office stating that we were late in paying our Bill. The prob Lem Here is that As usual we never received a first Billing statement. We Are supposed to be billed on the 4th of the month with the payment due by the 29th, although i can t remember Ever receiving a Billing statement prior to the 15th of a month. Normally we receive the first Bill around the 20th. Here it is past last month s due Date and the first thing we see is a Nasty Gram saying that if we Don t pay our Bill our commander will be notified to take appropriate action. Cafes claims to be a Good credit reference but a Good credit reference would behave in a More professional manner by getting the Billing statements out on time. A few questions must be answered and comments made about this problem Why is there a problem getting the Billing statements out on time if the workload is too much for the personnel at cafes App then Why Aren t More personnel hired does cafes use a credit Agency similar to what companies in the United stated use for credit checks of potential customers i personally would hesitate to use cafes As a credit reference Given the problems i have experienced. The second problem i would like to address is the cafes sport store. I am an average sporting individual who loves to play sports and get the right equip ment prior to a Given sports season. In the Spring i anxiously waited for a shipment of softball gloves to arrive at the biggest and Best sports store in Europe. As i write this letter softball season is in full swing and still no softball gloves. Also there Are so Many clothes stocked in the sports store that could be displayed in any of the other departments that i can t see where they could put any sports equipment. Currently there Are Only a few types of special shoes stocked in the sports store shoe department basketball running and aerobic take up most of the shoe space. I found Golf shoes stocked in the other shoe store in another Section of the mall. Last Winter i had to go to this same part of the store to find volleyball shoes. Both types of shoes Are specially designed for their specific sport and should be stocked in the sport store where they belong. I realize that other people May like the style of the shoe but what about the customer looking specifically for that Type of shoe some of the items i saw in the sports store were cafes Brand of clothes which Are normally sold in the main Exchange floor. We As retailers Are Happy to provide merchandise for both. Our sports stores Are the natural outlet for sportswear and we will continue to offer it there. If Golf or volleyball shoes were stocked at the shoe department or cafes Brand clothing in the sports store it was a mistake. Sports shoes targeted for a specific sport Are carried in the sports store. In Addi Tion the sports store carries court shoes which can be used for several sports. The shoe department carries a lower Price line of shoes which can be used for everyday Wear and Are not for a specific sport. We Are learning every Day and trying to improve our sports store. All retailing is an evolutionary process. We plan to increase our Basic sporting goods in these stores. Clothing availability will fluctuate based on de Mand. D.
