Two of the 13 arrested were from Long Island and the rest were from the new York boroughs of Brooklyn Queens Manhattan and the Bronx. Farmingdale is on Long Island. The investigation began two months ago after a technician at the University noticed a error message flashing on the computer screen indicating someone had entered the system illegally.
