However this Spring Dodds Headquarters in Washington ordered a freeze on All con versions of temporary workers who Are sometimes referred to As notes because they hold contracts that Are a not to exceed a definite time. The Atlantic Region which includes schools in Belgium Iceland the Netherlands and England was Able to place 19 teachers from the Philippines without releasing any full time temporary teachers said Laurie Techmeier of the regions personnel office. However one part time teacher with temporary status had to be dismissed she said. No administrators transferred from the Philippines into Atlantic Region schools Techmeier said. Ten teachers from the Philippines transferred into schools in the Mediterranean Region displacing two temporary employees. Said Dave Labuhn spokesman for the Region which includes schools in Spain Turkey Italy and Greece. A Dodds spokesman in Washington said three schools could eventually reopen in the Philippines if Navy officials decide to return families to Subic Bay. Germany Netherlands Gas coupons to be sold Munich Germany a a new series of gasoline coupons for use in both Germany and the Netherlands will go on Sale later this month at army and air Force Exchange service outlets cafes officials announced. The new Gas coupons which go on Sale aug. 29, can be used at cafes and Esso stations and by autobahn stations in Germany and at Esso stations in the Netherlands. The coupons will be valid through sept. 30,1992. Officials cautioned however that unleaded Normal Gas is not available id the Netherlands. Current Gas coupons still can be used through sept. 30 of this year and can be redeemed until sept. 30, 1992. Refunds can be Given Only for Gas coupons that Are attached to the original cover. Customers can Exchange expired Coupon books if they Are full for the new series books. If the Cost of the new Book is different the customer will pay the difference or receive a refund. Only one months gasoline ration May be exchanged but a refund can be Given on additional coupons officials said. If a customer accidentally buys the wrong Type of Gas coupons such As leaded instead of unleaded they May Exchange one months ration allowance for the Correct coupons up to 30 Days after their Purchase
