He said two divers from Singapore would be flown from Hong Kong to the Barge in an attempt to Rescue the trapped workers. British and chinese military helicopters and a Small flotilla of ships including soviet and taiwanese vessels fought the difficult conditions 65 Miles East of Hong Kong to search for survivors. Rescuers said most of the Oil workers had donned life jackets before the Barge went Down. They said the sea in the area was warm and this could help the missing workers survive. Officials said they planned to continue searching through the night despite poor visibility and rough weather.
