The mountains were due for afternoon storms. Mostly sunny dry conditions were forecast for the Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile severe storms were expected in the Dakotas and Northern Minnesota. Thursday s highs were forecast in the 80s for most of the country from Maine to Florida West to the great lakes and across the Midwest to the Rockies in the 90s from Nebraska South in a widening Patch from Arkansas to Utah and Down South to Las Angeles. The High temperature for the country wednesday was 111 degrees at Bullhead City and Lake Hatasu City ariz., and at Laughlin Nev.
