The air Force said it would have to reduce its planned flying hours by Active duty pilots by about 1 percent or 22,000 hours out of the planned 2.35 million. The air training come which trains new pilots will have to absorb a Cut of 1.4 percent or about 9,000 hours out of its planned 600,000. The air Force is also going to release 5,200 airmen who Are not eligible for re enlistment up to 4� months before their Normal end of tour. Those affected either failed to get a pro motion or were not asked to re enlist. They had been scheduled to leave Between May 16 and sept. 30 instead they will be released Between May 1 and May 15. The Marine corps is taking a similar step. It will release 4,800 men a month earlier than planned. Meanwhile the army says it has postponed for two months the scheduled rotation of 3,350 officers and 13,600 enlisted soldiers to new duty stations.
