He had wanted to hand them out one at a time so a More men could get cookies a the 8-year-old said. A then i wanted to give this other Man some cookies but i had to give them to a different Man because someone in my class already took  Brian was one of 22 cookie carrying third graders who formed a line along the sidewalk where air Force men in route to saudi Arabia sat and waited to process. A the United states Senate youth program gives High school students in military overseas schools a Chance to compete for a $2,000 College scholarship and a close up look at the Federal government. Two students will be selected from department of defense dependents schools along with two from each state and the District of Columbia. The program is sponsored by the William Randolph Hearst foundation. The 1991 program will be feb. 2-9 in Washington. It includes an intensive we Klong study of the Federal government and the . Senate in particular. The fast paced schedule will include a Day with students respective senators leading Cabinet members and a supreme court Justice. Also scheduled Are a mock joint session of Congress on the floor of the House of representatives a visit to the White House and possibly a meeting with president Bush. The program offers each of the 104 delegates a $2,000 scholarship for further study of american government and related subjects. The selection process is based on a written examination and an interview. Each of the five regions will be represented by two candidates to Dodds Washington where a panel of educators will select the Dodds delegates. Names will be sent to the Senate youth program office in san Francisco and delegates will be announced dec. 3. Students interested in participating should Contact their social studies teachers for  new principals added to Nimberg District for term Wiesbaden West Germany a the Nimberg District of the department of defense dependents schools has two new principals this school term. Paul k. Finkbeiner is the principal of the Nimberg Middle school and Charles Lockwood is principal of the Johann Kalb elementary school. Finkbeiner a five year Dodds employee began his overseas teaching career in Korea in 1983. He served As a special education coordinator and As an administrator in the Dodds Pacific Region. Stateside he held the position of consultant and administrator in special education and teacher education in Sacramento Calif. He directed bilingual diagnostic placement programs for the Santa Ana unified school District and he taught and coordinated teacher education at Point Loma College and the University of Southern California. Finkbeiner earned his doctorate degree from the University of Southern California in 1973. He has been on leave without pay from Dodds for the past two school years. Lockwood with Dodds for 21 years started teaching overseas in puerto Rico. He has served As a teacher and As an administrator in puerto Rico Japan Spain and Frankfurt. He holds masters degrees from Westfield state University and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He moved to the Nimberg District from the David g. Farragut High school in Rota Spain where he was principal. Lockwood is married to a Dodds educator and has four children. Their current Home of record is Bass River mass. A Limburg Middle school is a new school that serves about 1,200 students.
