Those of you that worked Long hours in support of desert storm we thank you. But please done to compare your experience to ours. You worked Long hours but saw your family when you were done had a Beer and slept in your own bed at night. Also  heard of Many people stationed in Europe who were there against their wishes. \ now let s look at w hat be had in desert storm. Scud attacks terrorist threats extreme heat 12-hour shifts tents cots dirt and Sand and res. There was no Beer no night life and we spent Christmas thanksgiving and easier without our  see done to expect any special  precedent v giving coast guard women a two year maternity leave could set a dangerous precedent. Where does it go from there will women in the rest of the services ask for the same i pictured most of these women trying to get out of returning to Active duty because they have become settled Down and Happy with their jives. There Are Many women in the real services a army air Force Navy and marines a who have babies and do just Fine. Most bases offer excellent childcare centers. My wife is military. We have had.
