A group of businessmen trying to organize a Miami Washington showdown last month contacted Mcaa executive director Dick Schultz offering among other inducements a $30 million life of credit. When Schultz explained that Mcaa bylaws made it impossible to Institute a playoff for this season under any circumstances the businessmen went to the schools.
