Some of her characters on the show include portraying Cher Sharon Stone and Hillary Clinton. Al How did you get your Start in show business Al 1 was jiving in new York and i started a theater company with a Friend of mine. I did a one woman show and got an agent and moved out to los an Geles. My agent started setting me up in television and i did some to. My agent set me up for an audition on in living color when they were looking for a new cast member. It what was your first performance and where ? Ai i did a soap opera called Santa Barbara. Al which skit is your favorite and Why Ai my favorite is super Bimbo and i had a lot of fun doing Sharon Stone. That was my first sketch. Al do you have hobbies Ai i used to support myself by cooking. I Cook a lot in . For friends. I horseback ride play Tennis and hike. Al How Long docs it take to rehearse before taping Ai on monday morning we read All the sketches that we might do and narrow it Down. We do lots of rewrites and rehearsals for a whole week and then we tape on wednesday and Friday night of the Fol lowing week. Its about 10 Days we work on a show before we tape it. Al what is the hardest thing about being an actress Al the hardest thing is getting the work then keeping the work. It is so unstable that you done to think you will get work again. The hardest thing about being a comedian is just being a female comedian. We All naturally think men Are funny when a woman comes out she has to prove herself. Al which title fits you better actress or comedian ? Al 1 would say actress. The word actress encompasses both. 1 was trained in new York As a classical actress. I was going to be a dramatic actress. I think if you Are a very Good actress you can do comedy also. I prefer actress to comedian. Al who inspired you at i have always wanted to be an actress i am Lucky that i am not one of those people who is trying to find myself. A lot of people my age Are still trying to find out who they Are. When i was really Young i saw Freaky Friday with Jodie Foster and i thought this is really fun this is what i want to do. At my birthday parties i would Force my friends to watch movie after movie. Al have you been in any movies yet Al i did a movie called Tucker which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. I just read for Addams family ii. Al do you have any input with the scripts ? Al we have a lot of say with the writers. We also pitch the writers some characters we want to do. We can and lib when we Are taping. Al is anyone in your family in acting ? Al my older brother is a director and my older sister is a documentary filmmaker. It do you think this show will still be aired in 10 years Al yes. It is so big that it will go into syndication and your kids will be watching it too. Its the perfect show because i get to play a lot of different characters and i am not the goofy neighbor who comes in every other show. Every sunday night i can be someone totally different. Even As a White woman there is so much that i can do because there is Only one other while woman and one White Man. Al do you consider yourself Lucky Ai i think i am incredibly Lucky because Only on percent of us get work.
