The country is big too Large for the Eye and even More difficult for a camera. The colors Range from Brown to rust with an occasional Bright White deep Black or Dull Green in the distance. The signs of Man Are few and weak. A line of Telephone poles marches into the hot forever. A billboard in the Silhouette of a Bull looms on the horizon to tout the Virtues of a particular Sherry. A crumbled mud Block and tile House provides an eerie foreground for an unmanned Power relay station. A truck and car slip by each other on an uncrowded route n-232 As it winds along the slopes of the plateaus Over waterless Rivers past dust covered shepherds and through agricultural areas that seem hopelessly Barren. But then there is the occasional jewel like the Santuario Nuestra Senora Del Pueyo a Catholic Sanctuary that leaps brilliantly out of its Barren setting. The Road above the Ebro is indeed a harsh trek but it harbours such an occasional Rock Diamond like among the otherwise Small and weak signs of Man.
