Wins every optional event shape Belgium a Ramstein a Heather Forbes won every event and recorded her third straight All around optional title in the Central european gymnastics championships saturday. Forbes took the vault with 8.65 Points the uneven bars with 8.9, the balance beam with 7.9 and the floor exercise with 7.75 for a grand total of 33.20 Points in the All arounds to beat out Frankfurt s Amy Sevier and Michelle bisect to and soes Terberg a Suzanne hegelian. Forbes Point scores were lower than she had received All year but shape coach and tournament director Maureen Hughes said it was because the judging was More objective than at the regular sea son meets. A the judging was quite strict but very fair a Hughes said. Sevier placed second on the vault and beam and hegelian and bisect to were second on the bars and floor respectively. Ramstein a Janene Meek won the class 6 compel sories All around in the senior Competition with 34.6 Points but the individual events went to four different girls. Meek won the bars with an almost perfect 9.5 score Wurzburg s Michelle Garske prevailed on the vault with 8.55, Heidelberg a Tori Mogavero scored 8.5 to take the beam and Wurzburg Sangie Wutke triumphed on the floor High school gymnastics also with an 8.5 total Baum older a Watasha Carter dominated the Junior optional Field with victories on the bars 7.60 Point the beam 8.00 and the floor exercise 8.15 after tying for second on the vault with 8.35 Points for an All around total of 32.10. Clare von Bergen of the British school of Brussels won the vault with 8.5 Points. The Junior compulsory is All around title went to Hahn a Jessica kindle who matched Carters efforts by taking the bars beam and floor championships with 7.30, 6.60 and 6.9 Points respectively in route to an All around score of 29.10. Joanne Graham of the British school of Brussels won the vault with 8.45 Points. A the tournament was quite successful a Hughes summarized. A i was impressed with heathers performance of course but i was really impressed with some of the performances turned in by the Junior gymnasts. Watasha Carter was really Good. She is a very Strong  Ramstein won the senior big schools title with 255.90 Points Hahn took the Small schools with 152.6. Mckinnies of Berlin Wiesbaden s Mccauley capture Yaba crowns by Rob Staggenborg staff writer Hanau West Germany a berlins Leilani Mckinnies rolled to a first place finish with a Handicap 714 series edging Aviano Sanna Freeman and her 711 to win the girls grades 3-5 title in the Yaba european Bowling championships saturday. Mckinnies games of 115, 123 and 114 earned her the title. Freeman opened her three game set with a 168, but posted 96 and a 102 in the final two games to fall into second place. In the boys division Matt Mccauey of Wiesbaden won the grades 3-5 title with a 726 total with Handicap Tor the three game set. Krat opened his morning with a 94 in the first game and an 84 in the second game before his 111 in the final game. Wertheime shale Carrier rolled to a third place finish in the 57-Bowler Field with a 666. Rhein Mains Patrick Walgamott rounded out the top four with a 662.in the girls division Ramstein s Kim Welch rolled a 114 in her second game to finish with a leading 670 total to claim top honors. Sembach s Shannon Armstrong followed Welch with a 668, Good for second place in the 42-Bowler Field. Kaiserslautern s Jessica Simons grabbed third with a 662, while Ankara Samy Williams tossed a 661 for fourth place. The championships culminate with sundays Competition for bowlers in grades 9-12. The Handicap division starts the Day s action with is Ethl Imit scowl w9i,Kol the National finals in Detroit aug. 16-20 where $44,000 m scholarships will be awarded. Lady Lions finish 11 of Warrior boys win final the Heidelberg girls and Wiesbaden boys Are the 1990 big schools soccer champions. The Heidelberg lady Lions completed a perfect Campaign by beating the Wiesbaden 3-0 in the girls championship game at Patch. Wiesbaden a warriors ruined bit Buige a bid for perfection by blanking the Barons 2-0 in the boys showdown at Ramstein. Dave Popes girls dominated the action in the title game As they ran their season record to 11-0. In the girls final the teams were scoreless until Michelle Marker scored with three minutes left in overtime.
