But things have begun to fall in place As far As the Germany Bennor Spring sports venues Are concerned. The Central european track and Field finals and the be gymnastics championships had to be advanced to mid week because of scheduling conflicts at German facilities but they have been set for Munich and Niernberg respectively. Track and Field finals Competition takes place at Dante stadium wednesday and thursday May 2021 the gymnasts go at it wednesday thursday and Friday May 20-22. Triple a and double a track and Field championships have been scheduled at Wurzburg and Mannheim respectively and Ansbach once again will stage the Southern regional. Site of the Northern championships still was undetermined As of tuesday. All four meets Are scheduled May 15-16, with the top four winners in each event both boys and girls advancing to the Central europeans. Augsburg a Tarshia Bronner shattered the shot put record with a toss of 43 feet 12 inches in the Southern regional at Ansbach. The Champion boys and girls from the Bennor a South and a North leagues automatically qualify for tournament Competition. So do the conference tournament winners unless they Are the league champions too. In that Case the tourney runner up qualities. Bad Kreuz Nach will stage All the a North eliminations Augsburg has All the a South Competition. Bronner the Bennor girls compete at Bonn. No Bennor boys site has been finalized As yet. Those tourneys Are All May 16. Berlin is the site of both the Small schools championships. A a a thirty two boys and 30 girls have been nominated by their respective coaches for the 1992 stars and stripes All Europe basketball teams. Selecting the teams As always promises to be a tedious chore not to mention choosing the players and coaches of the year. The 1992 All Europe squads will be announced next week. Head coach Tom Leblanc has made a change in the roster for the All Star team which will represent Dodds Germany in the Cholet cadets basketball tournament april 18-20 in Cholet France. No. 4 seed Arantha Sanchez Vicario won when Barbara Rittner retired with a Back injury trailing 6-1, 2-1, and no. 5 Jennifer Capriati edged no. 9 Zina Garrison 5-7, 6-4, 6-3. Also advancing to the quarterfinals were unseeded Amanda Cortzer of South Africa Mary Joe Fernandez of Miami and Amy Frazier of Rochester Hills Mich. In menus play top ranked Jim courier swept Carl Uwe Steeb 7-6 7-56-2. No. 4 Pete Sampras beat Wall Masur 7-6 734-6, 6-2, and Michael Chang rallied past Markus Zolecke 4-6, 6-3, 6-1. Qualifier Robbie Weiss who upset Stefan Edberg on monday lost to Jakob Hlasek of Switzerland 6-2, 6-2. The other Quarter finalists Are russian Andrei Cherkasov and unseeded Diego Nargiso of Italy ranked 100th. Beckers career record in the tournament fell to 9-6.
