This article upset Many of the females at my base. Iam being extremely mild in my description of their reaction. The article that was put out described females in the military As opportunistic irresponsible self serving and constant  this image does nothing for the morale of the military male or female. It degrades women and does not present a positive image to others who read the article. The truth of the matter is Bukowski expressed her personal opinion and that is her Choice. But just As she spoke for thousands of other women i am speaking for the same when i say those kinds of opinions Are unwelcome and extremely untrue. The sarcasm was completely uncalled for and unnecessary in getting her Point across. I am a female in the Navy and did not find her comments regarding women on ships and the possibility of pregnancy amusing or intelligent. If she had done her research she would have found that women have been on ships for several years. The pregnancy Issue has been thought of and dealt with. Females who Are assigned to ships when pregnant Are not deployed when those ships Are. So the Nursery is not needed. And it would be my guess that the person who looks after the child would be the same person who would mind children of any armed forces Parent who was sent away. If i m not mistaken that could be the father or a Friend or a family member. It Hap pens in All of the military branches. No one in the military wants to Bury a fellow Sailor airmen or sol Dier but if such a tragedy occurs it is because a per son not a male or female might have made a mis take. And the sad thing is it s not looked at that Way. As to a female s ability to Fly a Jet or helicopter into combat i Haven t seen proof yet that a male can Fly better than a female. Also i have never been Able to pinpoint pms in myself or anyone else. I Don t let pms interfere with my Job and i Don t see anyone else letting it interfere with theirs. Any female who flies must go through the same training As men. And if they allow females to Fly special operation mis Sions then i m sure they will be expected to live up to the same standards As everyone else. Now it is True that civilians Back in the real world Don t have brass shaking in their boots at the mention of equal Opportunity. No they have things like lawsuits and a million and one ways to sue for such injustices. Females in the military Are not Given that option. What we do have Are codes of con duct and Laws dictated by the uniform code of Mili tary Justice. What would make anyone think females have it easy being in the military is beyond me. Bukowski stated that she is tired of hearing us whine. As a personal request please do not judge an. Entire group because of something that is supported by a few of our kind. My final note is i should be Welcome in any career Field i choose and i Don t appreciate people telling me i m not. Judge me by my actions and not my Gen Der. All females deserve the Opportunity to pursue the career of their Choice. And yes it is unfair to deny a Job Opportunity to a female simply for that reason. That kind of treat men should have ended a Long time ago. Can we please keep the mindset of the inferior female in the past where it belongs Seaman Shannon finn is stationed at Raf Molesworth. Anyway i recently saw this commercial again and being in a deeply profound mood i asked myself what does free Dom Cost is it in my Price Range should i shop around before buying a new one can i find replace ment parts for it in the cafes garage should my new Freedom break Down needless to say replacement parts Are available at the cafes garage but first they have to place a special order to Fukuoka Japan which will take about three years. And each individual part will Cost the same As a Small hawaiian Island. Eventually i came to the conclusion that i could t afford anything much less something As expensive sounding As Freedom. I came to this conclusion by checking my financial situation. What i found was that my Piggy Bank had starved. Of no Here come members of the a Subj american society for the prevention of bad jokes. I was afraid to Check my Wallet for Money because my Wallet is made of genuine onion skin. Open it and it makes you cry. I was leading up to something. I decided that in the spirit of Independence Day i would find out what certain people thought Freedom Cost. I asked a Soldier what he thought Freedom Cost. He said lots of lives and  How profound. The Man was so deep he drowned himself. I then tried to Contact the president of the United states but a Secretary told me the president was out with either Gennifer Flowers or Paula Jones. The Secretary was t sure who was who because it is hard to see through All the makeup. The last Guy i asked what Freedom Cost he said More than you and me could Ever imagine  i Don t know where he shops but at the by you could get a Nice bottle of Freedom air Freshner for $3.50.
