She s at St. Luke a said lawyer Harvey Sladkus referring to a private Hospital in Manhattan. He said police took her to the Hospital july 17 and she was admitted after an incident involving some friends of hers. What the incident was i Don t  she s an emotionally fragile lady Sladkus said. He blamed her instability on attempts by Bing s Law yers to annul her marriage. The bings were married in january 1987 in Mclean a. Bing s lawyers Are trying to get the marriage annulled on the ground that the 86-year-old former opera general manager who has alzheimer s disease did not know what he was doing. On May 9, state supreme court Justice Carmen ciparick ordered a psychiatric examination of lady Bing at her lawyer s request because of her apparent inability to follow the court s directions. That same Day the judge ordered lady Bing 48, to leave her husband s apartment for six specific hours each Day so nurses could attend to Bing. My client has lost touch with reality Sladkus told the judge. Sladkus said he was told of lady Bing s hospitalization by her sister Dianne who called from her Home in Washington . He said he has no idea How Long she will stay at St. Luke s. That s a medi Cal determination he said. Meanwhile Sladkus said he has asked that the judge stay All annulment proceedings until doctors say lady Bing is Able to defend herself. He said the judge scheduled further proceedings in the Case for aug. 10.
